Mr. Markham concentrates in the areas of wills, trusts and estates. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He joined
Thompson O'Donnell, LLP in 1975 following
a merger with the firm of Larson & Tolley. He has served as a panelist for such courses as "Will and Trust Drafting in the District of Columbia" and "Fundamentals of Practice in the Probate Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia." His monograph, "Fundamentals of Tax Administration in the Probate Division," was selected for sale and distribution by the Taxation Section of the District of Columbia Bar. He has also taught a Wills and Trusts course at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
Washingtonian Magazine has honored Mr. Markham in its list of Expert Tax/Estate Lawyers. He was similarly recognized in the State by State Listing of Top Professional Advisors in the 1998 book Estate Planning for Baby Boomers and Retirees, by Stewart H. Welch, III.

United States Army, 1967-1970. Captain Markham was honorably discharged after completing tours of duty at the Institute of Land Combat, Combat Developments Command, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia and at Headquarters, 8th Transportation Group, Phu Tai, Republic of Viet Nam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for "meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces."
